Advanced Stroke Centres Certification Programme

The Advanced Stroke Centres Certification Programme is meant for hospitals offering comprehensive stroke management—from emergency intervention to rehabilitation and prevention. It requires 24/7 specialist teams, advanced diagnostics, neuro-intervention capabilities, and robust documentation aligned with NABH’s objective elements. Certification positions the hospital as a leader in stroke care and supports national efforts to reduce stroke-related mortality and morbidity.

  • Comprehensive Stroke Management:
These centres deliver end-to-end stroke care—ranging from acute treatment to rehabilitation—supported by neuro-intervention facilities and multi-specialty collaboration.
  • Infrastructure for Complex Cases:
Certification mandates availability of ICUs, cath labs, CT perfusion/MR angiography, and 24×7 neuro-interventionists, enabling advanced procedures like thrombectomy.
  • Benchmarking with Global Best Practices:
Certified centres align with international stroke care guidelines, gaining recognition for excellence in high-end stroke care and patient safety.
  • Capacity Building and Training:
Ongoing drills, simulation exercises, and clinical upskilling help teams stay prepared for emergencies and complex stroke cases.
  • Strategic Advantage in Referral Networks:
With NABH certification, these centres become preferred destinations for critical referrals, partnerships, and national programmes.
