Ayush Hospitals Accreditation Programme
This programme is for hospitals offering traditional systems of medicine such as Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Homoeopathy and Sowa-rigpa. It ensures that these systems are practised in a structured, ethical, and safe environment with well-documented procedures, trained practitioners, and patient rights mechanisms in place. Accreditation helps Ayush hospitals demonstrate legitimacy, enhance public confidence, improve clinical outcomes, and become eligible for government empanelments and insurance schemes.
- System-Specific Quality Assurance:
This programme is tailored for Ayush systems, ensuring that care delivery adheres to both traditional principles and modern quality benchmarks for safety and efficacy. - Institutional Credibility:
Accreditation assures patients and stakeholders that therapies are administered by qualified Ayush professionals in a clean, ethical, and well-documented setting. - Improved Processes and Patient Safety:
Facilities adopt structured SOPs for treatment planning, medicine dispensing, infection control, and protecting patient rights—significantly enhancing care quality and reducing errors. - Broader Access and Empanelment:
Accredited hospitals are better positioned for inclusion in health insurance schemes and government programmes, opening up new avenues for patient access and institutional growth. - Capacity Building and Operational Maturity:
NABH provides support through training and implementation guides, enabling hospitals to elevate their management practices and achieve operational excellence.
