Entry Level Ayush Centres Certification Programme

The Entry Level Ayush Centres Certification Programme supports standalone AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa, and Homeopathy) centres in adopting essential quality and safety practices. As small scale AYUSH day care centres may find it difficult to implement all the accreditation standards, NABH has developed Entry Level AYUSH Centre standards incorporating inputs from experts, stakeholders, NABH’s technical committee and peer review. There is a single standard compiled for all specializations in AYUSH that are in alignment to the Hospital Standards, with a community focus.

  • Credibility in Traditional Care:
Certification affirms that AYUSH centres offer treatments that are both rooted in traditional systems and aligned with modern standards for safety and efficacy.
  • Operational Clarity and Documentation:
The programme encourages structured SOPs for medicine dispensing, treatment planning, and infection control—ensuring quality care with proper oversight.
  • Community Trust and Recognition:
Certification provides visible assurance to patients and local communities that the centre maintains ethical practices, qualified staff, and clean infrastructure.
  • Insurance Access:
Certified AYUSH centres are better positioned to qualify for insurance tie-ups.
  • Capacity Building and Training:
NABH supports centres with knowledge materials and training programmes that build internal capacity and improve the overall service quality.

Any AYUSH centre (excluding OPDs within hospitals), including clinics, polyclinics, CHCs, PHCs, and dispensaries that provide AYUSH therapies and do not offer inpatient services.
