Elevating Maternal Care through the NABH–FOGSI Manyata Collaboration
The Federation of Obstetric & Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) is one of the largest professional bodies representing obstetricians and gynaecologists in India. The NABH–FOGSI Manyata collaboration brings together FOGSI’s subject expertise with NABH’s quality framework to design and implement standardised quality assessment protocols in maternity facilities. The aim is to improve maternal and neonatal health outcomes through structured support and accreditation readiness.
India continues to record high maternal and newborn mortality rates, particularly in rural and underserved regions. This collaboration aims to address these challenges by standardising maternity care delivery, improving clinical competencies, and promoting safe, evidence-based practices across the country.
To jointly standardise and implement evidence-based quality care protocols in maternal healthcare settings, support the Manyata initiative in accreditation alignment, and promote consistent and safe practices across maternity centres in India.
