Empowering Diabetes Care through NABH–RSSDI Collaboration

RSSDI is Asia’s largest professional body of physicians focused on diabetes care, with over 12,000 members across India. This NABH-RSSDI collaboration focuses on setting up a certification framework to improve quality, accountability, and digital readiness in diabetes clinics—especially standalone and small practices. The initiative promotes tech-enabled, patient-centric, and protocol-based diabetes management.

India’s diabetes burden is growing rapidly, yet many clinics lack standardised protocols and quality checks. This partnership leverages RSSDI’s subject expertise and NABH’s quality framework to drive systemic improvements in diabetes care, safety, and technology adoption.

To develop and implement a certification framework that ensures standardized, patient-centric, and digitally enabled diabetes care services. The objective includes promoting NABH Allopathic Clinics Accreditation Standards across RSSDI member clinics, co-developing diabetes-specific care protocols, and building digital health standards for clinic management systems (CMS) and other innovations.
