Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts (IRCA)
The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment is the apex government body responsible for welfare, social justice, and empowerment of disadvantaged and marginalised sections of society. In collaboration with NABH, this initiative focuses on conducting structured assessments of 350 Integrated Rehabilitation Centres for Addicts (IRCAs) across the country. These assessments benchmark IRCAs against Ministry-issued standards to ensure uniformity, quality, and effectiveness in services provided to individuals recovering from substance abuse.
To improve the quality and efficiency of IRCAs using Ministry-issued standards as benchmarks, and to encourage and support non-compliant centres to adopt quality frameworks and join the structured quality journey.
- Establishes uniform quality standards for rehabilitation care
- Strengthens the capacity of IRCAs across the country
- Improves efficiency and patient outcomes in rehabilitation services
- Promotes nationwide standardisation in addiction recovery facilities
