Three-Day Assessors’ Training Programme as per NABH 1st Edition Standards for Entry level Hospitals
- MBBS with Post-graduation in a clinical subject (MD/MS/DNB or higher qualification) with minimum of 3 years of experience. Higher qualification in clinical branches will be preferred.
- OR
- MBBS with Post Graduation in Healthcare Management or Hospital Administration with minimum of 3 years of experience.
All candidates on the date of applying MUST be employed/ working in NABH Accredited or Certified Hospitals/ Government Hospitals for last 3 consecutive years and nominated by the Head of the Organization / Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of the NABH Accredited or Certified Hospitals/ Government Hospitals.
Independent practitioners and consultants engaged in third party quality and accreditation projects are not eligible to apply for this course.
Knowledge of NABH Standards/Attended Programme on Implementation (POI) training course on NABH 5th or 6th Edition Hospital Standards or 1st edition Entry level standards conducted by NABH.
The training programme is of three days duration, conducted in in-person onsite mode, and requires full attendance on all three days. The course includes interactive teaching sessions, practical exercises, and a final written examination.
Participants will be evaluated continuously, and only those who successfully complete the course and pass the assessment will be considered for empanelment as NABH assessors.
As part of the selection process, NABH will conduct interviews with shortlisted applicants to assess their suitability for the programme. Final selection will be based on the outcome of these interviews. The date of commencement of the course will be communicated to the selected candidates in due course.
Course Fee: ₹15,000 + GST @ 18% (The fee includes the NABH standards and training material)

- The Administrator/ Clinician involved in the Quality Team with active implementation of quality standards only should be nominated. The total number of candidates is anticipated to comprise an equal distribution of administrators and clinicians.
- Mere eligibility and applying for Assessor Course or nomination by the organization does not guarantee selection.
- Association with any other accreditation body will lead to disqualification of the applicant.
- The above criteria may be supplemented with additional qualification(s), experience and skill(s) as per NABH requirements.
- NABH reserves the rights of selecting participants as per its operational requirements eg. give preference to the candidate from underserved and remote areas. It is sole NABH Secretariat’s discretion to select or reject the candidate as per the operational requirements of NABH.
- The participants who could not qualify the post training examination in the previous courses may reapply.
- NABH will conduct interviews of the candidates before final selection.
- NABH reserves the rights to alter any aspect of Assessor training course without prior intimation to applicants or participants.
- Completion of the course does not mean automatic empanelment by NABH & empanelment of successful participants would be done as per the applicable guidelines of NABH.
- NABH reserves the right to postpone/cancel/defer the event wholly or in part in case of an insufficient number of participants, organizational reasons, changes of availability of faculty or other unforeseeable circumstances.
- In case of cancellation/postponement participants may not assert any claims and any such claims shall be excluded.
- Canvassing in any form may lead to automatic disqualification of the application without further correspondence.
- Decision of AMC-NABH for the selection of the application will be final and appeal will not be accepted from the candidates.
- Candidates who are not shortlisted will not receive any further communication.
- Submission of false/misleading information at any stage may lead to rejection of the application.
- There are limited seats (approximately 50 selected participants) for each training course. NABH Secretariat will maintain a repository of all the applicants for the purpose of considering the eligible candidates for future programs.
- The above criteria may be supplemented with additional qualification(s), experience and skill(s). NABH reserves the right to supplement, modify, or revise eligibility and selection criteria as per NABH requirements.
